Donbas region: SBU carries out counter-sabotage actions

During preventive counter-sabotage actions in Volnovakha district of Donetsk region, the SBU found a cache with mines, as well as exposed 10 IAF members. Law enforcement also identified two organizers of pseudo-referendum held in 2014.

Working out intelligence, SBU officers established the residences of "DNR" gang members who are involved in IAF activities.

SBU operatives are currently checking information on their involvement in active armed resistance to ATO/JFO forces. If confirmed, the SBU will initiate criminal proceedings against them.

In addition, in the apartment of one of the militants, law enforcement officers found a cache with weapons. They sized four TM-62M anti-tank mines (total weight is 40 kg). According to intelligence, the offender planned to use explosives to commit sabotage in the region.

Information on the illegal activities of two organizers of "referendum" in 2014 in Donetsk region is being verified.

Upon it, the issue of initiating criminal proceedings is being resolved.

Preventive measures were taken in cooperation with the National Guard, the National Police and the State Border Guard Service.
