Kharkiv region: SBU conducts large-scale anti-terrorist training

On April 14, the SBU starts multi-stage anti-terrorist training in Kharkiv region. The training will be held for 1,5 months; special attention will be paid to the border areas.

Among the participants of the training are the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Military Service of the Law and Order, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and other members of the Coordinating Group of the Anti-Terrorist Center. Local self-government bodies are informed about the planned events and they provide full assistance to law enforcement.

The training will take place in near-real conditions, with the use of combat firearms, military and radio equipment.

Within the training, the law enforcement is allowed to exercise appropriate measures in certain territories, including checks of citizens’ documents and vehicles. Therefore, the SBU asks citizens to have documents confirming their identity.

The SBU guarantees that training will be held in strict compliance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine and with unconditional compliance with human rights and freedoms.

In addition, the SBU calls on citizens to be vigilant.

If you happen to notice individuals who show unreasonable interest in transport infrastructure, military facilities, buildings of local or governmental authorities, or use video- or photocameras, or drones, please immedeately inform the SBU Office in Kharkiv region by phone (057) 700-16-61, by e-mail usbu_khr@ssu.gov.ua or another convenient way, or call the SBU hotline 0 800 501 482.

SBU apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and thanks Kharkiv residents and the guests of the region for understanding of the need for anti-terrorist training.
