SSU and National Police expose 19 individuals who tried to disrupt mobilization in Ukraine through Telegram channels

The Security Service and the National Police have detained 19 administrators and contributors of Telegram channels who tried to disrupt mobilization and published locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

They also filmed provocative streams and spread false information on Ukrainian military, including officials of Territorial Recruitment Centers.

In Khmelnytskyi region:

The law enforcement agencies blocked sabotage activities of 14 individuals who publicly called persons liable for military service to evade mobilization.

Among other things, they published locations and routes of movement of representatives of Territorial Recruitment Centers and National Police.

To spread the content, they administered dozens of groups on Telegram and Viber.

In Kyiv:

The SSU exposed four residents of the capital who published in Telegram chats the geolocations of mobile checkpoints in Kyiv region.

To disguise their criminal actions, they created anonymous accounts in the messenger.

In Vinnytsia region:

A 30-year-old evader who, in addition to hiding from mobilization, campaigned on his Telegram channel to follow his example, is facing trial.

Based on the evidence, SSU investigators have notified five detainees of suspicion under Article 114-1.1 of the CCU (obstruction of lawful activities of the AFU and other military formations).

The remaining persons involved in the unlawful activities will shortly be notified of suspicion. They face up to 8 years in prison.

The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region, Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of regional prosecutor’s offices.
