SSU and National Police detain two 16-year-old arsonists who carried out russia’s orders in Kyiv and Kramatorsk
The SSU and the National Police have apprehended another two russian accomplices who burned vehicles of the Defence Forces in Kyiv and Donetsk oblast.
The perpetrators were ‘hunting’ for Ukrainian Armed Forces off-road vehicles equipped to perform combat missions on the frontline.
First, they found potential targets and agreed them with their russian handlers.
Then, the teenagers approached the cars and set them on fire using petrol and flammable mixtures.
To report to the occupiers, they filmed the burning on their phones, hoping to make some easy money.
However, none of the arsonists received the promised payment from the ruscists.
In Kyiv:
A 16-year-old has been detained; he came from Cherkasy region to commit a series of arson attacks on military vehicles.
As a test task, the young man was instructed to burn an SUV that volunteers had purchased for one of the AFU combat brigades fighting on the eastern front.
The SSU apprehended him in hot pursuit.
In Donetsk region:
The SSU detained a resident of Kramatorsk who also wanted to ‘make money’ by setting fire to vehicles of Ukrainian defenders.
Immediately after the first attempt to destroy an SUV of a Ukrainian serviceman, the SSU apprehended him and seized the tools he used for arson.
Both suspects have been notified of suspicion under Article 114-1.1 of the CCU (obstructing lawful activities of the AFU and other military formations, during a special period).
Despite the young age, they face up to 8 years in prison.
The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region, Donetsk and Luhansk regions jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City and Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Offices.
