SSU and National Police detain another three enemy accomplices who tried to destroy Ukrainian railways relay cabinets on FSB’s orders

The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have apprehended another three agents of russia’s federal security service who carried out arson attacks in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The aggressor’s targets were relay cabinets that ensure uninterrupted movement of trains, including the Defence Forces’ military echelons.

To carry out the sabotage, the perpetrators used flammable mixtures that they manufactured themselves following the FSB’s instructions.

In Kyiv region, another member of the arsonist group which the SSU dismantled in December 2024 has been detained.

Then, after the cell was uncovered, the 21-year-old suspect went into hiding and later set fire to two relay cabinets near the capital on the FSB’s order.

Another two arsonists were detained in Dnipropetrovsk region. One of them is a 20-year-old repeat offender who had previously served a sentence for theft. This time, he set fire to two relay cabinets earlier this year.

The other is a 16-year-old local college student who was caught in the act trying to set fire to a relay cabinet at a railroad crossing near Kamianske.

His next task was to derail a freight train that was transporting Ukrainian military equipment to the front line.

Clothes, arson tools and mobile phones with evidence of the crimes were seized during searches.

The detained individuals have been notified of suspicion under Article 113.3 of the CCU (sabotage, committed under martial law).

The suspects are in custody and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region and in Dnipropetrovsk region jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the prosecutor’s offices.
