SSU and National Police detain another two enemy accomplices who burned defenders’ cars and railway relay cabinets
The SSU and the National Police have apprehended another two assets of russian intelligence services. The perpetrators set fire to military vehicles and railway facilities in Dnipro and Sloviansk, Donetsk region.
The occupiers promised them money for fulfilling the tasks. However, instead of financial reward, they received notices of suspicion from Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
In Dnipro:
A 32-year-old Dnipro resident was detained in hot pursuit for burning a military vehicle and two relay cabinets critical for safe movement of trains on a strategically important railroad line.
In Sloviansk, Donetsk region:
A 20-year-old drug addict was detained after he had tried to make some quick money on Telegram. There, he was approached by an FSB serviceman and offered money in exchange for cooperation.
On the FSB’s instructions, the man set fire to an SUV of the Defense Forces that was undergoing maintenance at a service station after combat missions at the front.
SSU investigators notified both detainees of suspicion under Article 114-1.1 of the CCU (obstructing lawful activities of the AFU and other military formations, during a special period).
The criminal actions of the individual from Dnipro are additionally qualified under Articles 194.2 (intentional damage to property, committed by arson) and 113.2 of the CCU (sabotage, committed under martial law).
The suspects are in custody and face from 8 years in prison to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Dnipropetrovsk region, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s offices.
