The SSU has held counter-sabotage training in Khmelnytskyi region. The Defense Forces practiced neutralizing russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups which, according to the scenario, penetrated the western region.

There, the ‘saboteurs’ collected intelligence on the location of the Defense Forces units guarding a critical energy facility.

The ‘attackers’ planned to use the intelligence to commit a series of explosions on the energy infrastructure of Khmelnytskyi region.

The law enforcement agencies with the involvement of the SSU Special Operations Centre ‘A’ neutralized an ‘enemy group’ and prevented a possible technological disaster.

The drills were carried out in conditions as close to real as possible. The units of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, and the National Guard, took part in the exercise.

According to the assessment of the coordination group, participants of the training have comprehensively practiced algorithms of interagency cooperation to prevent possible sabotage in the west of Ukraine.
