The SSU Counterterrorism Center took part in strategic command and staff exercises near Mariupol.

The drills worked out joint counteraction to subversive groups.

In view of a potential threat on the coast of the Sea of ​​Azov, the participants deployed the Mariupol district territorial defense headquarters. The operation was conducted online.

Locations of the exercises included a checkpoint, a sea area and a coastal zone.

The training resulted in suppression of enemy landing forces and prevention of the capture of Ukrainian territories.

According to the Headquarters, regular holding of such exercises increases the effectiveness of joint actions during real special operations.

The participants included the leadership of the Donetsk Regional Military Civil Administration, units of the SSU Main Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, regional offices of the National Police, State Emergency Service, National Guard, border guards, territorial defense forces in Donetsk region and Mariupol district local authorities.
