SSU opens 17 criminal proceedings over barrage of strikes on Ukraine on November 15

Investigators of the SSU have registered 17 new criminal proceedings over the strikes on Ukraine on November 15.

This was announced by the SSU Acting Head Vasyl Maliuk.

The cases were opened under Article 438.1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of laws and customs of war.

‘The SSU is currently working to establish all the circumstances and perpetrators of the missile attacks. Missile fragments and other material evidence found at the sites of hits have already been sent for examination,’ the SSU Acting Head Vasyl Maliuk informed.

According to one of the versions, which the SSU is verifying, the servicemen of russia’s 184th heavy bomber aviation regiment, which is part of the 22nd heavy bomber division, are probably involved in the strikes.

According to Vasyl Maliuk, several versions are being checked, including participation of russia’s 52nd heavy bomber aviation regiment in the attacks.

SSU investigators are working to identify the perpetrators of these crimes and specific individuals from russia’s military and political leadership who gave these orders.

The proceedings will be included in the evidence base which Ukraine is collecting for international courts.

Overall, the SSU opened proceedings on the fact of enemy strikes on November 15 in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Poltava, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy regions.
