SSU identifies 15 collaborators preparing new russian ‘elections’ in temporarily occupied Luhansk region (video)
The SSU has identified 15 collaborators who are preparing pseudo-elections to russia’s local occupation authorities in the temporarily captured part of Luhansk oblast.
The enemy’s accomplices include heads of the ‘LNR’s election commission’ and representatives of territorial branches of the kremlin’s united russia party and other political forces from russian duma.
According to one scenario, the invaders plan to hold fake elections in September this year.
During the illegal voting, they are supposed to ‘elect members’ of the ‘LNR’s pseudo-parliament’, as well as ‘councils’ of the so-called ‘municipalities’.
According to the investigation, all 15 collaborators are currently directly involved in preparations for the upcoming fake ‘expression of will’.
They have formed so-called ‘territorial election commissions’ that are supposed to falsify the ‘voter turnout’ and the results of the ‘voting’.
The identified individuals are also arranging ‘polling stations’, selecting and instructing ‘staff’, and conducting a large-scale campaign in support of the fake elections.
The SSU has initiated criminal proceedings under the Article 111-1 of the CCU (collaboration).
Earlier, six of the current suspects had been notified of suspicion for organizing and conducting the sham referendum in Luhansk region in September 2022.
The identified collaborators are in the temporarily occupied territory; comprehensive efforts are underway to bring them to justice. The offenders are facing up to 15 years in prison.
The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions is conducting the investigation under the procedural supervision of Luhansk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
