SSU identifies russian commander who gave order to torture Ukrainians in temporarily occupied Kherson

The SSU continues to expose russian war criminals – members of enemy forces in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

The SSU has established the identity of a russian commander who authorized torture of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied Kherson.

This is deputy head of directorate of russian national guard in Rostov region, police colonel Oleksandr NAUMENKO, with the call sign Alfa.

According to the investigation, since March Naumenko has been in charge of russia’s national guard servicemen and russia’s illegal armed formations in the temporarily occupied Kherson.

On his orders, his subordinates carry out illegal detentions and torture locals, break into homes and steal property.

Naumenko personally participated in dispersal of peaceful rallies in Kherson, gave orders to use stun grenades and tear gas against Ukrainian citizens. This led to victims among Kherson residents.

Following his instructions, russian military kidnapped two Ukrainians and brutally tortured them for several weeks. They tried to beat out of them information on Ukrainian Armed Forces and their locations, and tried to force them to cooperate with the occupiers.

Now, colonel Naumenko has been notified of suspicion under Article 438.1 of the CCU (violation of laws and customs of war).

The SSU Office in Kherson Region documented the crime under the procedural supervision of Kherson Region Prosecutor’s Office.

The SSU will identify everyone involved in atrocities against Ukrainians!
