SSU identifies over 3,500 organizers and participants of russia’s fake ‘elections’ in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied regions (video)
The SSU is conducting extensive activities to expose organizers of pseudo-elections in the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine. According to preliminary data, the kremlin plans to hold a fake plebiscite in early September this year.
As a result of operational efforts, the SSU has identified over 3,500 collaborators and their russian ‘supervisors’ involved in the organization of illegal voting, as well as ‘candidates’ for the sham elections.
Using the fake voting, the aggressor state hopes to ‘legalize’ its proxies in russia’s occupation authorities in the temporarily occupied districts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
The investigation established that the invaders promise representatives of the so-called ‘election commissions’ a monetary reward of RUB 10,000 or more.
To create the appearance of an ‘election process’, the kremlin instructed its henchmen to ensure a maximum turnout of local population at the ‘voting stations’.
For example, in Berdiansk, the invaders are forcing chief doctors of medical institutions to send 100% of their medical staff to participate in the fake elections.
In addition, ruscists plan to conduct door-to-door visits to local homes to collect signatures for the ‘right candidates’. During such visits, they are going to be accompanied by armed servicemen of the russian occupation police.
All the exposed facts are investigated within the criminal proceedings initiated by the SSU under two Articles of the CCU:
- 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
- 111-1.5 (collaboration).
The SSU is currently documenting the unlawful activity of all identified organizers of the sham ‘elections’ to bring each of them to justice.
The SSU calls on Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied part of our country not to participate in the fake plebiscite so as not to act for the aggressor’s benefit.
The operational and investigative activities are carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
