SSU identifies another 11 organizers of sham referendum in temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region
The SSU continues to expose traitors and collaborators in occupied regions of southern and eastern Ukraine. As the result of operational and investigative activities, the identities of another 11 enemy accomplices, who assisted in organization of the unlawful referendum in temporary occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast, have been established.
The offenders were members of ‘territorial election commissions’, set up by the aggressor in Enerhodar, Melitopol and Kamianka-Dniprovska.
4 of the 11 exposed collaborators were the ‘heads’ of the so-called ‘territorial elections commissions’.
These collaborators were responsible for the campaign to support the fake plebiscite calling on people to take part in it.
The SSU established facts of the collaborators’ assisting russian propagandists in making fake stories for kremlin informational resources.
They were also collecting personal data of locals to draw up election lists and provide them to the occupation administration.
Subsequently, the enemy exploited identification data of locals to falsify results of the unlawful voting.
The SSU documented criminal activity of collaborators and their kremlin handlers.
SSU investigators notified the ‘officials’ of suspicion of collaboration (Articles 111-1.5, 28.2 of the CCU).
The investigation is ongoing to bring the offenders to justice.
The SSU Office in Zaporizhzhia region is investigating the case under the procedural guidance of the Region Prosecutor’s Office.
