SSU uncovers two caches with russian ammo in border areas of Chernihiv oblast

In the course of counter-sabotage efforts in the border areas of Chernihiv region, the SSU found another two caches with russian munitions.

According to the investigation, occupiers hid these arsenals before Ukraine’s counteroffensive last year.

In an abandoned building near a military facility, the law enforcement uncovered:

  • 21 artillery shells of 30 mm caliber;
  • combat grenades;
  • 800 rounds for small arms.

Another camouflaged enemy cache was equipped in a non-residential building near a grain storage facility.

The items seized from the site include:

  • two shells for anti-tank grenade launchers and a powder charge for them;
  • 7.62 mm cartridges.

The uncovered ammunition has been forwarded to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The counter-sabotage measures were carried out by the SSU Office in Chernihiv region.
