In the liberated Sviatohirsk, Donetsk region, the SSU has exposed another place of illegal detention. The torture chamber was equipped by russians at a rest home near the Sviatohirsk Lavra.

Russian military servicemen forcibly kept there locals who supported Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

During the inspection, SSU operatives and investigators found objects that point to torture committed at this location. A set of investigative and operative actions is currently underway.

Criminal proceeding was initiated under Articles 438.1, 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing.

SSU investigators are currently identifying the number and identities of victims and the inhuman monsters involved in the torture.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions exposed and documented the crime jointly with the State Border Guard Service under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
