SSU uncovers another two ruscists’ weapons caches in Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions
The SSU Military Counterintelligence has identified location of another two hidden arsenals of weapons and ammunition in the frontline areas in the south and east of Ukraine.
The seized munitions include projectiles for Grad multiple rocket launchers, russian-made grenade launchers, as well as anti-personnel mines, which are banned by international law.
In Kherson:
The SSU uncovered a weapons cache located in an abandoned building of a local private enterprise.
According to the available information, the hiding place was equipped by russian invaders during the city’s occupation.
During the inspection, the SSU found over 30 mortar and anchor river mines and 30 grenades for a grenade launcher.
In Dnipropetrovsk region:
The SSU found a cache with munitions in a private house in Novopetrivske village, Mezhova district.
The items seized include:
- 15 anti-personnel mines;
- almost 200 TNT blocks with electric detonators;
- a russian-made Tavolga-1 rocket-propelled grenade;
- over 11,000 rounds of ammunition of various calibres.
All seized munitions have been sent for examination. Further, they will be handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The SSU is acting to identify and bring to justice the individuals who arranged the covert weapon caches.
