The Security Service of Ukraine has discovered a hidden arsenal of munitions in the Luhansk region. Besides, 126 artillery shells with a calibre equal to 30 mm were seized from the cache.

According to operative data, the cache was arranged in 2014 by members of the IAF "Great Army of the Don". The attackers took an active part in hostilities against the ATO forces.

The militants buried weapons and ammunition in an open ground near the passenger railway station in the town of Shchastya and the Starobilsk-Donetsk highway.

In the cache law enforcement also found:

• 12 VOG-17 grenade launchers;
• 90 expelling charges to 82 mm mortar mines;
• more than 400 rounds of various calibers;
• artillery shell detonator.

Currently, the issue of initiation criminal proceedings upon illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives to identify and prosecute persons involved in illegal activities is being resolved.

The seizure of weapons was carried out in cooperation with units of the National Police and the State Emergency Service.
