The SBU systematically uncovers caches with weapons. Law enforcement found a cache with anti-tank grenades and a large number of ammo for AK-47 assault rifle in the central park of Kropyvnytskyi city.

The information on the use of the weaponry for committing subversive activity or terrorist attack is being checked.

The SBU documented that a cache was set up by a previously convicted criminal, who committed felonies.  

The SBU seized from the cache:

• two anti-tank grenades RPG-26;
• artillery shell;
• 1,000 rounds of 5.45 mm caliber.

The seized weapons are sent for expertise. The issue of serving a suspicion notice is being resolved. Type of detention is being chosen.

The investigation is ongoing to prosecute those involved into illegal activity.

Moreover, the SBU prevented smuggling of cold weapon to the EU in Zakarpattia region.

The law enforcement found smuggled goods during customs control. A local resident hid 11 knives in the personal belongings. The seized weapons are sent for expertise.

The pre-trial investigation in ongoing within the criminal proceedings initiated for smuggling.

The operation was carried out by the SBU Office in Kirovohrad region, the SBU Office in Zakarpattia region under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Offices.
