SSU found a cache of weapons in Zakarpattia region. It included, in particular, more than 2 kg of explosives and anti-tank grenades.

The cache was equipped in an abandoned building in a village of Berehiv district.

During investigative actions, law enforcement officers detained an offender who organized a criminal group involved in the illegal sale of weapons.

The cache contained:

• almost 2 kg of TNT;
• 400 g of plastid;
• 10 explosive triggers;
• 3 anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades;
• 4 rounds for VOG-25 grenade launchers;
• 39 RGD-5 and F-1 grenades.

Currently, the seized inventory is sent for examination.

Terms of detention and serving of suspicion notices within criminal proceedings are being considered.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the offense and bring to justice involved individuals.

The operation was carried out by officers of the SBU Office in the Zakarpattia region in cooperation with the regional department of the National Police and under the supervision of the Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
