The SSU has prevented sabotage against the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

In Kherson region, the SSU neutralized a russian agent, who was tasked to locate Ukrainian positions and detonated ammunition.

For committing sabotage, the occupiers promised their accomplice a ‘reward’ in the amount of UAH 30,000 (USD 723).

The investigation established that the traitor is a recidivist, convicted for serious and especially serious crimes, including murder.

The man came to the attention of russian special services because of his pro-russian views, which he expressed, in particular, in criminal circles.

During the detention, a mobile phone with the contact information of an established employee of russian special services was found in the agent’s possession.

The detainee has been notified of suspicion of treason under martial law. The court has ruled that he will be kept in custody.

The SSU Office in Kherson region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Kherson Region Prosecutor’s Office.
