SBU exposes offenders leaking information on investigative actions
The SBU blocked unauthorized interference in the work of court decisions registration, in particular, on procedural measures with limited access. The Dnipro residents leaked information about the planned searches conducted by law enforcement officers to the individuals involved in criminal proceedings. SBU officers established that the clients of the scheme organizers were the leaders of the criminal group.
Allegedly, the illegal scheme was set up by several representatives of the legal association and an official of a district court. They were interested in information about searches and other procedural measures that will be conducted by the law enforcement towards participants in criminal proceedings.
Thus, the offenders illegally obtained e-keys to access the closed Unified Register of Court Decisions.
Afterwards, they passed the information received to their “clients” to avoid responsibility for the destruction of material evidence and flee from investigation.
During searches of the suspects’ residences and offices, the law enforcement found computers, means of communication and hard copies of court decisions used in unlawful activities.
Within the criminal proceedings an organizer of the scheme was served suspicion notice of illegal interference in the work of the automated workflow system of the court.
A pre-trial investigation is underway to prosecute others individuals involved in the fraud.
The operation was carried out by the SBU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the supervision of the Dnipropetrovsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
