SSU exposes two collaborators in recently de-occupied territory of Kharkiv oblast

The SSU has notified two citizens, who agreed to collaborate with russia and voluntarily took up positions under the occupiers’ ‘temporary military administration of Kharkiv region’, of suspicion of committing a crime.

The investigation established that a 55-year-old local defected to the enemy shortly after the capture of Kupyansk by russian occupation forces. He voluntarily assumed the position of the head of Kupyansk Forestry SE and offered others to work at the enterprise.

A 47-year-old local woman also voluntarily defected to the enemy and agreed to the position of the chief accountant of this state-owned enterprise.

Currently, both perpetrators are in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, hiding behind russian troops fleeing from their positions. They were notified of suspicion in absentia of crime under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU.

The SSU Office in Kharkiv Region carried out the investigation with the assistance of the SBI under the procedural supervision of Kharkiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
