SSU uncovers UAH 23 mln losses caused to Kyiv budget by former officials of Kyiv City State Administration enterprise
The SSU has exposed four former heads of Kyivtransparkservis municipal enterprise of Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) on illicit parking schemes in the capital.
These are the former heads of the utility company who worked in this position during 2018-2023.
According to the investigation, the officials deliberately failed to notice that a significant number of Kyiv car parks paid deductions to the city budget not for all their parking spaces, but only for part of them.
As a result, the company did not receive over UAH 23 mln (USD 539,000) that drivers paid for parking. This is confirmed by the conclusions of an independent forensic economic examination.
Mobile phones, large amounts of cash and documents with evidence of the crime were found during the searches in the administrative premises of KCSA, Kyivtransparkservis and the suspects’ homes.
SSU investigators have served all four ex-executives notices of suspicion under Article 367.2 of the CCU (gross negligence that caused grave consequences).
The decision on measures of restraint is pending. The suspects face up to five years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
