The SSU exposed corruption in a district recruiting and social support center in Kyiv region. The military commissar of the center was detained for bribery.

According to the investigation, the suspect set up a corruption scheme: for various sums, he offered the conscripts his assistance in evading military service.

The SSU documented the official extorting money from two draftees. The law enforcement apprehended the commissar in his office when he received the second part of the bribe.

The detainee was notified of suspicion of bribery.

The court will decide on the preventive measure.

Pre-trial investigation is underway to bring to justice other persons involved in the illegal activities.

The SSU Military CI jointly with the investigators of the National Police in Kyiv region carried out the operation under the supervision of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Central Region of Ukraine.
