SSU detains collaborator who set up field kitchen for Kadyrov’s unit during battle for Mykolaiv

The SSU Counterintelligence has uncovered another collaborator who cooperated with russian troops during the occupation of part of Mykolaiv oblast.

The perpetrator is a resident of Novopetrivka village, Snihurivka district. During the seizure of the community, he set up a field kitchen for Kadyrov’s groups that entered the village.

The enemy accomplice organized a ‘canteen’ for the occupiers in his own household, using food from his farm to cook for them.

The collaborator also delivered food to the trenches and frontline positions of russian units.

In addition to providing food, the man repaired military equipment of kadyrovites, who were on duty at checkpoints and looted local private homes.

Later, they used the repaired vehicles to flee and take the stolen property to the aggressor state.

After the village was liberated, the suspect moved to Khmelnytskyi as an internally displaced person. There, he tried to lay low and evade justice.

However, the SSU identified the traitor, found and detained him.

The investigation is underway. The detainee will be notified of suspicion under Article 111-1.4 of the CCU (collaboration); the court is to decide on a measure of restraint.

The suspect faces up to 5 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Khmelnytskyi region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
