The SBU exposed the alienation of land plot worth over UAH 15 m. (USD 535,714). The offenders organized illegal business jointly with the former head of the State Geocadastre and the management of a state enterprise.

SBU operatives established that the former head of the State Geocadastre regional department helped to illegally privatize the land plot (1.6 hectares) in the city of Uzhhorod. Allegedly, the plot was unlawfully re-registered by individuals for further development.

Within the criminal proceedings initiated for the abuse of power, the offender received a suspicion notice.

The pre-trial investigation is underway.

The operation was carried out jointly with the Main National Police Directorate in Zakarpattia region under the supervision of Zakarpattia Region Prosecutor's Office.
