SSU exposes leader of fake ‘democracy’ who declared himself ‘president’ and formed a shadow government
The SSU is continuously working on exposing participants of subversive activities against the state security of Ukraine. In Dnipro, the SSU exposed a leader of an anti-government organization of the so-called ‘democracy’ on public calls to overthrow the constitutional order of Ukraine.
The individual considered the current state authorities illegitimate and called on the citizens of Ukraine to replace them with newly created ones. One of the ways to do this, according to the man, is forceful overthrow of the government.
According to the investigation, the suspect gathered like-minded people in the ranks of the All-Ukrainian National Congress and formed a shadow government. At the first meeting, he was elected the so-called ‘President of Ukraine’. Other decisions of the Congress appointed ‘chairman of the Verkhovna Rada’, ‘prime minister’, heads of law enforcement agencies, while current state entities were recognized as ‘terrorist structures’.
The impostor tried to enlist the support of ATO/JFO veterans and current servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He hoped to achieve this by securing for his supporters the right to carry firearms.
During the search at the suspect’s residence, the law enforcement seized:
- seals and forms of pseudo-entities;
- computer equipment and mobile phones with evidence of illegal activity;
- fake orders of self-proclaimed authorities and ‘diplomatic passports’ of ‘high-ranking officials’.
The leader of the pseudo-democracy has been notified of suspicion of crime under Article 109 (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or take-over of government) of the CCU. The investigation is underway.
The SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region carried out the operation under the supervision of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
