SSU exposes network of enemy Internet agitators, including official of Antonov SE

The SSU has dismantled an interregional network of pro-kremlin Internet agitators. The group included six propagandists who were carrying out information and subversive activities for the benefit of occupiers.

The offenders publicly supported russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and called for changing of Ukraine’s borders.

To do this, they created several accounts in social networks, including those banned in Ukraine.

Most of the destructive content was ‘picked up’ from the aggressor state’s Internet resources.

In Kyiv:

An engineer of the aviation security unit of the Antonov state enterprise was detained.

On the russian Internet platforms Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki, he periodically distributed videos of Kadyrov’s speeches, calling for joining of the captured regions of Ukraine to russia.

In Ivano-Frankivsk oblast:

The court sentenced a resident of Kalush to 5 years and 6 months in prison for justifying russia’s aggression and offering to hand the ‘main Banderites’ over to the russian invaders.

In Transcarpathia:

A resident of Berehove district was detained for justifying the sham referenda in the occupied areas of Ukraine’s south and east.

The law enforcement agencies have also exposed two enemy agitators from belarus, who had residence permits in Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the propagandists created several accounts on social media, where they discredited the Defence Forces and incited anti-Semitic sentiments in the region.

In Zaporizhzhia:

The SSU served a local resident a notice of suspicion for praising russian occupiers and justifying their crimes against civilians in his reposts and online publications.

In all the exposed cases, investigations are ongoing within criminal proceedings under the Articles of the CCU:

  • 110 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
  • 161 (violation of equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, region, religious beliefs, disability and other grounds);
  • 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions exposed the offenders jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
