SSU exposes heads of ‘russian department of education’ in Zaporizhzhia region who forced teachers to praise kremlin in local schools

The SSU continues to systematically expose enemy accomplices in the occupied regions of Ukraine.

The SSU has identified two former officials of educational ‘authorities’, who voluntarily joined the ‘department of education’ of Tokmak in Zaporizhzhia region.

Being in leadership ‘positions’, they contributed to the spread of the occupation regime through local secondary education institutions.

To do this, they urged teachers to return to work and teach the curriculum according to russian textbooks and pro-kremlin ‘manuals’.

If the teachers refused, the enemy’s accomplices threatened them with ‘consequences’ in the form of illegal persecution.

To intimidate and announce their demands, they organized so-called ‘community meetings’, where they publicly campaigned for support of the aggressor state and justified its crimes.

In case of defection to the enemy, they ‘guaranteed’ payment of russian ‘salaries’ and loyal attitude of the local ‘district education department’.

According to the investigation, the collaborators are the former head of the education department of Tokmak town council and her deputy. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, they supported the occupiers and joined their ‘administration’.

Currently, they are hiding from justice in the occupied territory.

SSU investigators notified them of suspicion under Articles 28.2 and 111-2.1 of the CCU (intentional actions aimed at assisting the aggressor state (aiding and abetting) and the occupation administration of the aggressor state by implementing or supporting decisions and actions of the aggressor state and the occupation administration of the aggressor state, committed by a group of persons).

The investigation is ongoing to hold the offenders to account.

The SSU Office in Zaporizhzhia Region investigated the case jointly with the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
