SSU exposes chief of ‘russian education ministry’ in Melitopol, who turned schools into russian guard barracks

The SSU continues to expose traitors and collaborators in the temporarily occupied areas of southern and eastern Ukraine.

SSU investigators have completed the pre-trial investigation against the chief of the ‘ministry of education of Zaporizhzhia region’ established by the aggressor. The indictment has been sent to court.

While in the ‘position’, the woman reformatted the education system of the oblast for the needs of the aggressor state.

The investigation established that the collaborator had signed ‘orders’ transferring the buildings of Ukrainian secondary schools and colleges to the balance of the russian ‘ministry of interior’.

Subsequently, the enemy used them for basing personnel, military equipment, storing weapons and ammunition.

It was documented that the traitor had ‘handed over’ the building and a dormitory of one of the colleges in Melitopol to the national guard of russia.

She also ‘handed over’ all cars and computer equipment of the city education department to the invaders.

Besides, the enemy accomplice organized a large-scale campaign for the region’s ‘accession’ to russia. During mass events, she personally called people to take part in the sham referendum and ‘vote’ in favor of the kremlin.

During the fake plebiscite, the woman tried to force local teachers to participate in the unlawful ‘election commissions’.

If teachers disagreed, she threatened with ruscists’ torture chambers.

According to the investigation, the collaborator is a former director of one of the educational institutions in Melitopol, who after the capture of the city joined the local ‘russian civil and military administration’.

There, she was appointed to head the so-called ‘education department’, and later – to head the ‘ministry’.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified her of suspicion under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration, voluntary occupation by a citizen of Ukraine of a position related to organizational, administrative or administrative-economic functions in illegal authorities established in the temporarily occupied territory, including in the occupation administration of the aggressor state).

The offender is currently in the temporarily occupied territory of southern Ukraine. However, the SSU has established her location and is acting to bring her to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Zaporizhzhia Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
