SBU exposes Russian military commissariat agent from Crimea

The man who assisted in conducting illegal conscription campaigns among citizens of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was served a notice of suspicion. He used the vehicles of his own enterprise to transport conscripts from military commissariats in various regions to the so-called Republic of Crimea supply point and railway station in Simferopol.

During one campaign he had to make 496 trips, carrying 3,200 people. The total cost of services amounted to more than RUB 1 m.

He was served a notice of suspicion while trying to enter Ukraine. The above-mentioned citizen is registered as an internally displaced person in the Kherson region.

According to the investigation, the organizer was the owner and manager of a private enterprise in the Saky district of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea during the occupation of peninsula. He was engaged in passenger traffic.

After occupation of peninsula by Russia, he re-registered the enterprise in accordance with Russian legislation and continued its activity.

It was established that in 2016-2017 the businessman signed a contract with the so-called Military Commissariat of the Republic of Crimea. Under the agreement, he had to provide vehicles for the recruits’ transportation.

Currently, the above-mentioned citizen of Ukraine has been served a suspicion notice of violation of rules of the warfare. The sanction of article provides from 8 to 12 years in prison.

The criminal was exposed in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
