SBU exposes policewoman on drug dealing
The SBU blocked the activities of an organized group. One of the members was a policewoman working in the district police unit in Odesa region. She stole drugs from material evidence.
Allegedly, the offenders sold narcotics and psychotropic substances to local drug addicts themselves or via controlled drug dealers.
SBU officers and investigators documented that the police officer switched material evidence, namely 0.5 kg of cocaine. Drug dealers tried to sell cocaine in small consignments.
During searches of the offenders’ residences and offices, law enforcement officers seized several more grams of cocaine.
The investigation is ongoing within the criminal proceedings initiated for illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotics, psychotropic substances or their analogues.
The possible involvement of other police officers in illegal activities is being established.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Odesa Region Prosecutor's Office.
