SSU detains aggressor’s accomplice who helped FSB recruit spotter for strike on Yavoriv training centre
The SSU has collected evidence on the former leader of the banned russian bloc party, who is collaborating with the enemy.
According to the investigation, this individual has helped the FSB find and recruit an asset who subsequently adjusted russia’s air attack on Yavoriv Training Ground in March 2022.
In June 2022, the SSU detained this spotter in Lviv. He is a local resident, a former soviet KGB officer, whom the ‘russian bloc’ head had met while living in the city.
The agent who adjusted the missile attack is in custody, while his friend from Crimea continues subversive activities against Ukraine.
The ruscism supporter had been living in Lviv for a long time and, on the instructions of russian intelligence, had set up cells of the pro-kremlin political party.
In 2013, he moved to Crimea, stayed there after its occupation, and began to assist the invaders in the war against our country.
The perpetrator publicly praises putin’s regime and russia’s war crimes against Ukrainian civilian population.
He also regularly publishes pro-kremlin posts on his Telegram channel, justifying the armed aggression and the seizure of part of Ukraine's territory.
The ‘activist’ is a frequent guest on air of the occupation ‘news agency’ News Front, which russians created in Crimea to spread their propaganda.
Based on the evidence, SSU investigators have notified him of suspicion in absentia under two Articles of the CCU:
- 111-2.1 (aiding the aggressor state);
- 436-2.2, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The suspect is hiding from prosecution in the temporarily occupied territory; efforts are underway to bring him to justice for his crimes against Ukraine.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Lviv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
