The SBU's Military Counterintelligence exposed an employee of one of the units of the State Border Guard Service, who illegally manufactured foreign passports and obtained foreign citizenship for money.

According to the investigation, under the guise of connections, the inspector promised to assist in obtaining foreign citizenship. In particular, contrary to the established registration procedure, the woman "guaranteed" to customers its expeditious manufacturing.

Counterintelligence officers detained the perpetrator while receiving the next part of the "reward". The total amount of the bribe was EUR 8 thousand.

Currently, the issue of serving suspicion notice is being solved.

Measures to expose the offense were carried out by officers of the Department of Military Counterintelligence of Ukraine together with investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation Territorial Department in Uzhgorod, and under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Military and Defense Sphere of the Western Region.
