The SBU cyber specialists exposed an ad agency specializing on propaganda of the so-called LNR/DNR and occupation authority in Crimea.

Law enforcement documented that in 2014 the offenders started to design billboards with anti-Ukrainian slogans in temporarily occupied territories and Crimea. They also spread propaganda via local social media and called for overthrow of constitutional order and federalization of Ukraine.

The SBU seized layouts and ready ads with the following titles: “Kharkiv Republic”, “Odesa Republic”, “Russia is our homeland. Zakharchenko is the head of DNR”.

Recently, the subcontractors have prepared a series of information propaganda for separatists with the following mottos: “Save peace! Provide Stability. Crimea United Russia”, “Spring of our victory. Crimea United Russia”, “Year of the Crimean Spring. Our choice is our victory”, “Break obstacles. Sergey Aksenov. The head of the Republic of Crimea. Crimea of new opportunities”.

Allegedly, the ad agency, located in Kyiv, is a subsidiary of a Moscow firm and is managed by Russian citizens.

The SBU initiated a criminal proceeding for creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization.

The law enforcement conducted several searches of the offenders’ office and residences.

The investigation is ongoing.
