SSU exposes russian info op aimed at sowing panic among Ukrainians through emails

The Security Service of Ukraine warns of a large-scale email campaign targeting Ukrainians, including representatives of government agencies and private companies.

The emails are sent from a large number of accounts, previously hacked by russian hackers. The activity has all the indicators of a targeted information and psychological operation.

The letters offer cooperation with the russian intelligence services for a reward. This is another attempt by the enemy to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.

The SSU has already blocked some of the addresses from which the emails are sent and urges Ukrainians not to respond to such messages.

Please remember that transfer of information on the Armed Forces of Ukraine, critical infrastructure facilities or any other form of cooperation with the enemy is punishable by law. Such crimes may also be classified as high treason.
