SSU exposes 3 enemy Internet agitators, including UOC-MP provocateur who hoped to get russian passport from putin

In Kyiv and Kharkiv regions, the SSU cyber units have uncovered another three Internet agitators of the aggressor state.

The perpetrators called russia’s armed aggression an ‘internal civil conflict’ in Ukraine, discredited Ukrainian defenders and incited religious hatred.

To carry out information subversive activities for the occupiers’ benefit, the agitators used their accounts in social networks and popular messengers.

They published destructive content created by them or reposted anti-Ukrainian calls of the pro-kremlin provocateurs from Ukraine and russian ‘top’ propagandists.

In Kyiv:

The SSU exposed a 42-year-old associate of a coordinator of mass riots near Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

During these events in the spring 2023, the woman called on people to resist the lawful actions of the law enforcement. The suspect also disseminated similar content through her Facebook and Telegram pages with a total audience of almost 5,000 subscribers.

In Kyiv oblast:

The SSU documented the unlawful activities of a resident of Boyarka who was spreading kremlin narratives about ‘the one moscow church’ in Ukraine and was trying to undermine the internal political situation in the region.

To spin provocative posts, he used his pages on Facebook, Telegram, and Viber, as well as on the banned Odnoklassniki and Vkontakte networks, with a total audience of 5,000 users.

When russia launched its full-scale invasion, the man applied to the ‘russian presidential department for dealing with appeals from citizens and organizations’ to obtain citizenship of the aggressor state.

In Kharkiv:

The SSU blocked the unlawful activity of a 47-year-old local woman who posted fake stories about the war in Ukraine by the russian ‘war correspondent’ Alexander Sladkov on social media.

During the battle for Mariupol, she distributed a video fabricated by the invaders to discredit the defenders of Azovstal.

The files of two cases investigated in Kyiv region have been sent to court. In the third case, the pre-trial investigation is underway.

The investigations were conducted by the SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region and in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
