SSU exposes another 8 pro-kremlin agitators on calling for seizure of power in Ukraine

The SSU has dismantled an extensive network of enemy agitators. The offenders justified russia’s armed aggression, called for seizure of state power in Ukraine and incited interfaith hatred.

As a result of operational and investigative activities in several regions of Ukraine, eight individuals have been served notices of suspicion of crimes against our state.

In Kyiv:

The SSU blocked information and subversive activities of a Kyiv resident, who was disseminating material of russian and belarusian propagandists in social networks.

In Zakarpattia region:

The law enforcement exposed a local blogger, who spread fakes and manipulations of russian propaganda on the ‘church issue’ on social media.

The offender disseminated enemy narratives, insulting the believers and making disparaging remarks about them.

He used pro-kremlin Internet resources to prepare his posts.

In Cherkasy:

The SSU identified another two aggressor’s accomplices. One of them is a former prosecutor’s office official, the other is an employee of a state bank branch.

In communication in messenger apps, they justified war crimes of russian occupiers and spread disinformation on the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Vinnytsia region:

The law enforcement agencies blocked subversive activities of four Internet agitators, including a former school teacher and a medical worker.

In the banned social network Odnoklassniki, they called for a forceful seizure of state power and changes to Ukraine’s borders.

During the searches of the suspects’ homes, the SSU seized mobile phones and computers used to disseminate destructive content.

The investigations are ongoing in the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under several articles of the CCU:

  • 161 (violation of equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, region, religious beliefs, disability and other grounds);
  • 109 (public calls for forceful change or overthrow of constitutional order or seizure of state power, distribution of materials calling for such actions);
  • 110 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
  • 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region, Zakarpattia, Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions exposed the offenders jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
