SSU exposes another 9 collaborators: members of Opposition Platform – For Life party among them

The SSU continues to systemically investigate collaborators in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories of Ukraine.

As a result of the SSU’s efforts, 9 enemy accomplices in several regions of Ukraine were served suspicion notices.

In Kharkiv region:

The SSU detained a member of Velykoburlutsk Village Council from the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party.

After the seizure of Kupiansk district, she voluntarily cooperated with the enemy and later joined the local occupation administration.

There, the woman was appointed an ‘assistant’ to the local governor.

In this ‘position’, the collaborator helped to introduce the kremlin regime in the occupied territory.

To do this, she organized general meetings of local residents, during which people were urged to support the invaders and join their ranks.

In Luhansk region:

The SSU exposed an organized criminal group consisting of 6 former officials from local units of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine.

During the occupation of part of the region, they voluntarily cooperated with the enemy and offered their assistance in the war against Ukraine.

Among them is Svitlana Borodina, whom the enemy appointed the ‘director of the LNR treasury’, and her accomplices – chiefs of subordinate ‘district directorates’.

The collaborators were fulfilling moscow’s instructions to join the local occupation authorities to the unified treasury system of the aggressor state.

In Kherson region:

The SSU has sent to the court the proceeding on a collaborator, member of one of the district councils from the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party. The SSU detained the offender during stabilization measures in November 2022.

During temporary occupation, the offender agreed to become an ‘operative of the department for combating economic crimes’ in the occupation ‘directorate of interior ministry in Kherson region’.

In that ‘status’, he forced local entrepreneurs to pay taxes to the russian budget and threatened them with imprisonment if they refused.

In Donetsk region:

The SSU detained former director of Krasnolimanskyi City Sports and Technical Club.

After the seizure of Lyman, the woman voluntarily agreed to head a ‘sector in the labour and social protection department’ created by the aggressor.

The investigations are ongoing in the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under two Articles of the CCU:

  • 111-1 (collaboration),
  • 111-2 (aiding the aggressor state).

The courts have chosen custody as a measure of restraint for three suspects.

The SSU is conducting the investigations jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
