The SBU stopped subversive activities against Ukraine by the FSB.

Allegedly, the FSB wanted to recruit an officer of the SBU Office in Zaporizhzhya region. They were interested not only in secret documents, but also in information about nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya.

FSB agents threatened the officer’s father with physical violence, since he was detained by the FSB during business trip. Despite blackmail and threats, as well as monetary reward, the SBU officer refused to cooperate with the FSB.

The SBU identified two FSB agents, in particular, they are Oleksii Demchenko and Dmytro Kartavtsev.  

The operation was carried out by the SBU Main Department of Internal Security jointly with Zaporizhzhya Specialized Prosecutor`s Office in Military and Defense Spheres.
