SSU exposes ‘deputy prosecutor general of LNR’ on massive fabricating of cases against residents of temporarily occupied territories

The SSU continues to expose and prosecute those involved in crimes against state security of Ukraine. The SSU has documented facts of unlawful activity by the so-called ‘deputy prosecutor general of LNR’.

The ‘official’ is involved in persecution and illegal detention of citizens in the temporarily occupied territories. To this end, she trumped up ‘cases’ and organized detention of people under fictitious pretexts for their pro-Ukrainian position.

According to the investigation, the suspect is a former employee of Luhansk Prosecutor’s Office, who in 2014 joined the illegal armed groups. There, she worked for the so-called Ministry of State Security of LNR and Prosecutor General’s Office, where she later became member of the leadership.

In that position, the ‘prosecutor’ supervised her subordinates in the persecution of locals and unlawfully charged the citizens in the militants’ ‘courts’.

Based on the collected evidence, the SSU investigators notified the ‘official’ in absentia of suspicion of a crime under Article 110.2 (intentional actions aimed at changing boundaries of the territory and state border of Ukraine, in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine, with prior agreement by a group of persons) of the CCU.

The decision is pending to declare the suspect a wanted criminal.

The procedures of special pre-trial investigation and special trial will be applied to the suspect.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the investigation under the supervision of Luhansk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
