Dnipro: SSU exposes Shariy’s party underground cell that prepared mass riots
The SSU has prevented attempts to undermine the internal political situation in Dnipropetrovsk region.
As a result of counter-sabotage efforts in the regional center, the SSU stopped the unlawful activity of a regional ‘branch’ of the banned Party of Shariy.
During the searches in the premises of the pro-kremlin cell, the SSU found instructions with an algorithm how to provoke mass riots during public events.
The criminals were also preparing to hold street actions in support of russian occupiers in case the front line approaches closer to Dnipro or if the oblast is captured.
The SSU also found ‘agreements’ of the party members on non-disclosure of information on their subversive activities against Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the cell of the banned party was organized by a native of Donetsk region, who arrived in Dnipro as an internally displaced person.
Being in constant contact with Shariy’s representatives abroad, the man set up an underground branch of the ‘political force’ in his own apartment.
For secrecy, he contacted only with ‘trusted’ persons and concealed his address as much as possible.
As a result of operational and investigative activities, the SSU found storerooms with enemy publications, leaflets and financial ‘reports’ on the expenses for anti-Ukrainian activities in the cell organizer’s apartment.
The seized items have been sent for expert examination.
Criminal proceeding was initiated under the Article 109 of the CCU (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power). The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region carried out the operation and investigation under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
