Kyiv: SBU exposes “LNR” unit commander
In Kyiv, the SBU exposed “LNR” member, who took part in hostilities against the ATO forces.
Allegedly, a native of Stakhanov city, Luhansk region, joined the so-called LNR People's Militia in 2014. The terrorist leaders appointed him a deputy commander of militant unit. Having Master’s degree in engineering, the offender was obliged to repair terrorists’ armored and combat vehicles.
After arriving in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, the offender rented an apartment in Kyiv city, and got a job in a telecomunication company, using fictitious documents.
During the searches of the perpetrator’s residence, SBU officers found bank cards, mobile phones and computer equipment with the evidence of his participation in IAF.
Currently, the suspect has been served a notice of suspicion of terrorist act and the court has chosen the type of detention.
The SBU is checking information on possible unauthorized interference and use by the offender of the telecommunication company customer database.
The operation was conducted under the procedural supervision of the Criminal Proceedings Supervision Department for crimes committed during armed conflict of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
