Kyiv: SSU exposes ‘official of DNR ministry of interior’ who planned to flee abroad
The SSU Counterintelligence established the location of a former employee of the ‘migration service of the DNR’s ministry of internal affairs’.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the woman moved to Kyiv posing as an internally displaced person from eastern Ukraine.
In the capital, she settled in a rented apartment and began to prepare documents for traveling abroad.
However, the SSU found and served her a notice of suspicion under Article 260.2 of the CCU (participation in activities of unlawful paramilitary or armed groups).
The suspect is a resident of Donetsk region who in September 2014 voluntarily joined the ‘migration service of the DNR’s ministry of internal affairs’ established by the aggressor.
She was appointed a ‘senior inspector of the addresses and references section’.
In this ‘position’, the woman carried out instructions of local gauleiters to suppress resistance movement in the region.
To do this, the enemy accomplice collected information from ‘district passport units’ of occupied Donetsk on local residents’ personal data.
Then, she generalized the data into a single address database, which the militants used to illegally detain people.
The offender also kept record of the so-called ‘watch cards’, which contained information on Ukrainian patriots wanted by the ‘DNR’ punitive bodies.
During the search, the official’s ‘work record book’ was found, which confirms her involvement with occupation authorities.
The suspect is facing up to 8 years in prison.
The SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region carried out the operation jointly with the National Police under the supervision of Solomyanskyi District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv.
