SSU exposes collaborator Montyan’s associate in Kyiv on administering her pro-kremlin Telegram channel
The SSU is systemically exposing traitors, collaborators and their accomplices, who are trying to undermine the internal situation in Ukraine amidst the ongoing war.
As a result of a set of activities in Kyiv, the SSU identified the administrator of a pro-kremlin Telegram channel of the enemy propagandist Tatiana Montyan, who publicly justifies russia’s armed aggression.
Staying in the aggressor state, Montyan involved her long-time associate and former party member in information and subversive activities against Ukraine.
The associate is a 46-year-old resident of Kyiv, who has known Montyan personally since 2014, and even ran for Kyiv City Council of the 8th convocation representing her political force.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, the man actively helped the collaborator to ‘promote’ her pro-russian Telegram channel, which has almost half a million subscribers.
As the investigation established, the administrator ‘moderated’ discussions in the comments section and blocked users who supported Ukraine.
He ‘filtered out’ posts that did not meet the criteria of kremlin narratives or did not support Montyan’s criminal activities.
The suspect also actively spread destructive content on his pages in social networks.
In his posts, he denied involvement of russian occupiers in air strikes on civilian targets in Ukraine and disseminated fakes about the situation at the front.
The SSU-initiated linguistic examination confirmed criminal actions of the channel administrator.
During the searches at his home, the SSU found computers and mobile phones with evidence of the unlawful activities.
SSU investigators notified Montyan’s supporter of suspicion under Article 436-2.1 of the CCU (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression in Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region exposed the offender under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
