SBU exposes Internet agitprops on calls for seizure of state power and change state border
In Dnipro and Cherkasy cities, as well as in Sumy region, the SBU terminated activities of the interregional agitator network that disseminated via the Internet calls posing a threat to Ukraine’s national security.
Within the criminal proceedings, SBU officers in Dnipropetrovsk region are investigating whether the head of two public associations is involved in posting information about the overthrow of the constitutional order and calls for the creation of the so-called local self-government territorial communities.
SBU cyber specialists identified residents of Cherkasy city and Romensky district of Sumy region that posted on their personal pages in banned Russian social networks information about change of the state border and called for take-over of government. SBU investigators also documented that the offenders from Sumy region received the information from Russian propaganda Internet editions and IAF websites.
The agitprops were suspected of actions aimed at forcibly changing or overthrowing of the constitutional order or take-over of government and the trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
