SBU exposes serviceman on drug trafficking via Telegram channel
The SBU Military CI uncovered an organized group of drug dealers. The contract soldier of military unit in Kharkiv garrison engaged in drug trafficking. He used a specialized Telegram channel to look for the clients.
Allegedly, the offender sold the drugs in different districts of the city of Kharkiv via caches. He received narcotics from his accomplice by mail and packaged it in a rented apartment.
During the searches of the soldier's residence and at the post office, law enforcement officers seized:
- batches of mephedrone, PVP and cannabis;
- electronic scales and packaging for narcotics.
The SBU also found the arranged caches.
Currently, the offender received a suspicion notice of illegal production, making, purchasing, storage, transportation, sending or sale of narcotics, psychotropic substances or their analogues. The type of detention is being chosen.
A pre-trial investigation is underway to prosecute other people involved in the illegal activity.
The operation was carried out by the SBU Military CI Department jointly with the Main National Police Department in Kharkiv region under the supervision of Kharkiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Military and Defense spheres.
