All this equipment has already been handed over for the needs of Ukrainian military.

According to preliminary data, the components in the warehouse were intended for damaged Russian equipment, which the enemy planned to repair at the facilities in the city. Thus, Russia planned to use Kharkiv as a ‘transit point’ for further offensive deep into Ukraine.

However, thanks to heroic resistance of Ukrainian defenders, Kharkiv was way out of occupiers’ league. And due to the SSU’s efforts, the entire withdrawn consignment of weapons goes to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and will be used to defend our state.

Among other things, during the searches, the SSU seized and, later, handed over to the MoD:

• 60 complete tank engines;
• a large number of spare parts and components for armored vehicles, which had been placed in 10 railway cars for their speedy transportation.

In addition, 26 guided air-to-air missiles were found in disguised premises. Such weapons are part of regular armament of military airplanes and helicopters and are used to target aircraft.

The SSU established that the equipment in this warehouse had previously been stolen from military arsenals, and on the eve of the full-scale invasion the owners of the warehouse intended to cooperate with the occupying forces and provide the equipment to the enemy.

Currently, the SSU has established those involved in the crime and is taking urgent measures to detain them.
