SSU exposes traitor who adjusted missile and drone strikes on Kharkiv defenders
The SSU has apprehended another agent of russia’s federal security service in Kharkiv. He is a 33-year-old construction worker who adjusted russian strikes on Ukrainian troops defending the city.
Places of large concentrations of personnel and military equipment of the Defense Forces in Kharkiv and surrounding areas were the enemy’s targets.
To guide russian missiles evading the air defenses, the spy tried to identify and pass on to the occupiers the locations of Ukraine’s anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations.
To establish the coordinates, the traitor went around the area and covertly recorded locations of potential targets.
He used a messenger app to transmit the data to his russian handler as photo and video files with detailed descriptions.
The agent also monitored the consequences of russia’s air attacks on Kharkiv. To do this, he received the coordinates of possible hits from the FSB and then carried out reconnaissance there.
The SSU apprehended the perpetrator when he was performing a new task from the russian service. A mobile phone with evidence of his work for the enemy was seized from him at the scene.
SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
