SSU exposes traitor: she got information on Ukrainian Armed Forces from her husband, Ukrainian serviceman, and passed it to russian special services (video)
The SSU Counterintelligence exposed an informant who provided russian special services with data on the location of military facilities and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the front line in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The informant is a 31-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovsk region, who started working for the enemy in May.
She did this despite being married to a serviceman of Ukrainian Armed Forces, with whom she has a son. Her husband, fighting on the eastern front, regularly transfers money for the child.
The traitor used her husband without his knowledge: she asked for information on location of his military unit and other groups of Ukrainian Armed Forces near the front line.
According to the investigation, the agent passed the obtained information on location of Ukrainian units through messenger apps to the russian military intelligence. The aggressors used the data to launch artillery, mortar and air strikes.
Her ‘liaison’ was a russian serviceman, who promised her russian citizenship and a wealthy life in case invaders capture the region.
The traitor was detained after another episode of passing information to the enemy.
During the searches, investigators seized computer equipment and mobile terminals with evidence of crime.
SSU investigators have informed the enemy’s accomplice of suspicion of treason (Article 111 of the CCU); the court ruled to keep the detainee in custody.
The SSU Counterintelligence carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of Dnipro Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Military and Defense Sphere of the Southern Region.
